Strategy Meeting focuses on Children's Services

The Local Government Association's Strategy and Finance Review Group held its monthly meeting on February 12th 2009 to discuss Child Protection after the public debate sparked by the death of Baby P last year. With difficult questions raised for all in Child Protection, especially upper tier authorities with legal responsibilities, Local Government Channel reporter Sam Hughes reports from the meeting and outlines the views of the main speakers Wes Cuell from the NSPCC, Kim Bromley-Derry from the London Borough of Newham and David Stout from the NHS.
