John Levitt
Graffiti Specialist, Royal Borough Windsor and Maidenhead
John has put his heart and soul into his job. He is diligent and conscientious. John sees graffiti as a personal challenge. He responds rapidly, working long hours including weekends, and often above and beyond the call of duty. The service has become so successful and popular that John has taken on a local celebrity status. He is known in the local press and amongst the community as "Chemical John". The Borough recently won the "Cleanest Town in Britain" Award. John's activities are fundamental in achieving this award. John works on his own initiative working directly with the public, the police, Housing Associations and Youth Offending Teams in targeting areas and offenders. He visits customers personally to offer assistance and support. He regularly receives letters of commendation. John lives and breathes graffiti. His dedication to his work even extends to removing graffiti whilst out socially with his wife.
